ADAPTORS RINGS

Description

Rings serve as the crucial connection point between two machines or sub-machines, functioning as a solid link. They are essential when the engine and the part of the system to be connected have incompatible dimensions or configurations, or when the connected transmission component creates a distance between the two parts, hence the synonymous term "spacer rings." Typically designed as rings when the thickness is reduced to 50 mm, for larger sizes, they are preferably designed in a bell shape. In addition to their connecting function, rings also play a protective role for the motion transmission joint, preventing harm to individuals and objects in case of accidental contact with moving parts. Custom-designed rings take into account the specifications of the engine and the parts of the system to be connected, considering dimensions, fastening holes, and compatibility constraints of the components. Usually, attachment points for industrial engines comply with SAE standards. Rings, typically made of steel to ensure strength and durability, feature centering for accurate positioning and can be shaped to adapt to various transmission configurations.
