Centrifugal (or expansion) couplings have the characteristic of transmitting motion through the graft generated by the rubber element, which is connected to the hub of the driving machine, and the external ring connected to the driven machine. As a result of the increasing centrifugal force, as engine rpm increase, the rubber element mounted on the driving machine (engine) expands, adhering and transmitting motion to the driven machine (pump).
